Go ahead and shoot me, but I feel like I’m over Motorola’s consonant phones. I liked the RAZR and the SLVR looks cool, but the rush for black, pink, blue, and plaid models baffles me.
That said, rush on over to Cingular and get yourself a $199 pink SLVR L7 for momma. It’s got a 512MB microSD card, iTunes support, and a VGA camera. Remember: if momma isn’t showing a little pink this year, she’s going to be very unhappy.

The SVIAZ Expo trade fair in Russia is host to a fair number of cellphone introductions this week, one of which is the Pantech PG-2800 finger writing recognition phone, particularly well-suited for entering Chinese or Russian text. It’s a tri-band clamshell handset with a 2-inch 260K color screen, a 1.3-megapixel camera, an external memory card slot and an MP3 player.
Its electronic dictionary is one of its unique functions that can be easily accessed with its finger writing recognition capability. We’re not entirely sure if this feature is useful for the English language, but it sounds a bit like the old Graffiti language for Palm. We’re also wondering if that comely young lass in the middle might be available for some private finger-writing lessons.

With all the super-slimline handsets hitting the market lately, the Fujitsu F702id looks positively corpulent, but it does have quite an unusual-looking color, doesn’t it? Besides this gold version you see here, it’s also available in the obligatory pink.
Fujitsu has added a couple of unusual features as well, such as two cameras—a 1.28-megapixel primary camera, and a secondary 1.1-megapixel camera that might just be useful for videoconferencing. Another weirdness is that biometric fingerprint sensor you see at the bottom of the keypad. No pricing or availability info was forthcoming.

Nokia news has just been running rampant as of late and today is no different. Case in point, the Nokia N83 is seen here in all of its blurriness. The N83 is speculated to be a quad-band GSM slider phone with a tricked out 5-megapixel camera. The phone also has a 2.5-inch screen, supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and includes 4GB of internal memory (!!). Release date is rumored at Q1 2007.
Nokia isn't very happy about these shots getting taken. They have already contacted the mobiholics forum requesting that the images of the device that "may or may not be the Nokia N83" be removed.
